Beautiful Sunrise In The French Alps [Change Of Plans]

The plan was to go with a friend to experience a beautiful sunrise at a mountain lake in the French Alps.

We got up very early and walked for 2 hours in the dark and under the stars. Then we had to change our destination because of the large amount of snow.

The snow was crisp and fluffy, and it was a great feeling seeing only the small cone of light shining in front of us. Little by little, beautiful light started to appear at the horizon, as we were hiking up the mountain. Not long now until sunrise!

At the top, I tried to lead us towards the mountain lake by traversing a steep slope. But we quickly realised that it was too difficult, and probably dangerous too.

In the end, we back-tracked to a place from where we had a nice view of the sunrise, and got to take some pictures of the beautiful landscape.
